The crime week is an annual theme week we organise to investigate the linguistic side of crimes. Students, staff and members of the public can join us to learn more about the work of forensic linguistics.

  • How can text messages serve as a clue to identify a murderer?
  • Can the way a suspect speaks in a police interview tell us something about whether they are guilty?

These and many other gripping questions are discussed with expert scholars and police officers.

You can take a look at the programme of the past two crime weeks from 2015 and 2016.
