ma applied linguistics works: language portraits

During the winter term 2019/20, the new students of the MA Applied Linguistics programme were asked to introduce themselves linguistically and creatively: they drew language portraits of themselves! Combined with interviews (on language biographies), these portraits are a common method in sociolinguistics. The students enjoyed this artistic kick-off to the class and agreed to share their experience with us. Have a look here!
